ABA Therapy Warsaw

What is ABA therapy?

The ABA therapy we offer in Warsaw is a working method based on behavior analysis that helps children develop specific skills needed in everyday life. It uses proven teaching strategies that enable the child to better communicate, cooperate with others and cope with different situations.

ABA therapy is often used for children with autism, but can also be helpful for ADHD and other developmental difficulties. The therapy program is always individually tailored - we focus on what realistically impedes the child's functioning and gradually build new skills.

In practice, this means working on specific situations from the child's life - such as communication, cooperation or responding to daily challenges.

How does the therapy work?

What do we do during the class?

During behavioral therapy (ABA) sessions, we work in a manner tailored to the child - combining short, structured exercises with natural situations and play.

During the class:

  • break down skills into small, manageable steps
  • teach through repetition and gradual increase in difficulty
  • reinforce desired behavior (e.g., through praise, access to a favorite activity)
  • we respond to difficulties and adjust the way we work on an ongoing basis
  • introduce skills in a variety of situations to make them useful outside of therapy

Activities can range from table work to play to exercises in a more natural environment.

ABA therapy in English and BCBA standards

We also provide ABA therapy in Warsaw in English and regularly work with international families. This allows us to tailor the way we work and communicate to the needs of children growing up in a bilingual environment.

Therapy is supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) specialist, in accordance with international standards for work in the field of behavior analysis. This is especially important for families who have previously received therapy outside Poland or are planning to continue support in another country.

If necessary, we can prepare documentation in English and help you transfer information to the school, specialists or insurer.

ABA therapy vs. behavioral therapy

ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapy is a behavior analysis approach that uses learning principles to develop a child's skills. In Polish literature it is sometimes referred to as behavioral therapy, meaning that both terms often refer to the same approach in working with children.

Unlike the colloquial understanding of "behavioral therapy," which is sometimes associated with simple behavioral reinforcement, ABA therapy is based on a thorough analysis of the child's needs and tailoring work strategies to the child's abilities. The key is to understand why a behavior occurs and how it can be changed in a way that supports development.

ABA therapy in Warsaw (Mokotow) is conducted on the basis of an individual work plan, regular observation and cooperation with parents. This makes it possible to gradually introduce changes that have a real impact on the child's daily life.
