One of the more common mechanisms is the so-called Toilet Refusal Syndrome (TRS) - a situation in which the child avoids pooping in the toilet, withholds bowel movements or accepts only a pampers.  <\/p>\n<p>TRS can occur after painful bowel movements, stressful attempts to wean the pampers, or with greater sensory and emotional sensitivity.
